Let Your Emotions Guide You

Your thought is what creates. Your thought, or focus is what activates the vibration that law of attraction responds to. Your emotions do not create. Your emotions are your indicator of what you are creating. And so, as you decide that your emotions are your best friend and you begin to say, “Today, no matter where I’m going, no matter what I’m doing, no matter who I’m doing it with, it is my dominant intent to look for things that feel good when I see them.” – Abraham-Hicks

To deliberately create the life of your dreams, it’s important to know what you want and set your intentions to achieve it. This gets the momentum going. But how can you know if you’re moving in the right direction to make your dreams a reality?

Fortunately, you were created with an internal GPS navigation system that will guide you along your way! It’s called emotions.

Your emotions are not from your physical world. They come forth from the inner world and are directly communicated to you from your Inner Being.” – Abraham-Hicks

Every emotion you feel is communication from your Inner Being. When you are feeling positive emotion, such as joy, excitement, passion or love, that is your Inner Being letting you know you are in harmony with and moving towards what you want. If you are feeling negative emotions such as anger, frustration or sadness, you are not in harmony with what you want and are moving away from it.

When you do notice you are having a negative emotion, ask yourself, “What do I want?” You can build a bridge from where you are to where you want to be by making a strong positive statement that will move you from your negative state to a positive thought.

Going from “I feel depressed” to “I feel happy” is too big of a leap, so just take small steps until you are feeling better. For example, you could say:

  • “This depressed feeling is only temporary.”
  • “I don’t always feel this way.”
  • “I think things will get better.”
  • “Things usually work out for me.”

Once you have made the transition from negative thoughts to better feeling thoughts, you will once again be creating in the direction of what you want.

When you effectively utilize the guidance system that your Inner Being offers you in the form of emotion, then you will always be in the position to create the life that you want, while deliberately avoiding creating what you don’t want.
