Introduction to Yoga With Adriene

A few years ago when I was struggling with a consistent yoga practice, my daughters told me about their favorite online yoga instructor, Adriene Mishler.

Adriene is perhaps one of the most famous and influential yoga teachers on the planet. Her Yoga With Adriene YouTube channel has over 4.5 million subscribers and she has videos on a variety of topics, such as “yoga for anxiety”, “yoga for weight loss”, “yoga for when you’re angry,” “happy birthday yoga,” “yoga for golfers” and even “yoga for a hangover.”

The about description on her YouTube Channel says:

“Welcome all levels, all bodies, all genders, all souls! Find a practice that suits your mood or start a journey toward healing. Work up a sweat, or calm and relieve a tired mind and body. Create space. Tone and trim. Cultivate self love. Make time for you. Go deeper, have fun. Connect. Fall off the horse and then get back on. Reconnect. Do your best, be authentic and FIND WHAT FEELS GOOD.”

Adriene’s followers talk about “Adriene changing their lives” and I can honestly say that’s true for me. I love doing yoga with Adriene! She’s funny, encouraging and has an easy-going personality. With her online guidance, I was able to develop a consistent, enjoyable yoga practice, right in the comfort of my own living room.

We had the pleasure of meeting her in person at the Practice Yoga Austin studio in Austin, TX where she is an instructor (my daughters took one of her classes) and she’s the real deal. She’s just as sweet in person as she is in her videos.
