The Best Meditation Technique for Deeper Relaxation

Learning to relax and chill out as a way to release resistance and raise your vibration is a key deliberate creator skill. Relaxation techniques are often overlooked when life gets busy and you are feeling overwhelmed.

You may feel like you don’t have the time to relax. But as your stress levels increase, your vibration decreases and eventually your health can begin to deteriorate. By learning, applying and finding the time to practice simple relaxation techniques you can raise your vibration and improve your quality of life.

While there are a lot of relaxation techniques out there that you can learn and practice, I am going to share one of my personal favorites. It’s the best meditation technique for deeper relaxation called the Silva Centering Exercise.

The Silva Centering Exercise

This meditation technique was created by Jose Silva, founder of The Silva Method, with the purpose of achieving deeper levels of relaxation. It allows your brain to shift into more stable, stronger brain frequencies (called alpha and theta levels) normally reached during sleep.

When you reduce your brain frequencies to these levels while staying awake, you are able to bring the subconscious mind to the conscious level. This allows you to control and harness the full power of your mind.

The Alpha State

Since your mind is more receptive in the alpha state, reaching this level is good for programming your intentions and goals to make your dreams come true. You can learn to overcome all kinds of problems at this level, such as headaches, bad habits, insomnia, and much more. It is also the level in which creative ideas, inspirational thoughts, and intuition can flow more freely.

The Silva Centering Exercise will condition you into the alpha state more quickly, then you can use your mind to relax your body even more than you ever could in beta (waking state). Reaching this level of mind is easy, and only takes a little practice to master. After enough practice you will simply say to yourself, “3…2…1…Alpha” and you will be there.

Watch the video below to learn the Silva Centering Exercise. It begins with an introduction by Vishen Lakhiani, founder of Mindvalley, who explains the process so that you will know what to expect.

After you learn the Silva Centering Exercise, I encourage you to make a commitment to practice it once a week for at least 3 months. Adding this technique to your alignment practice will help to keep you in a tip-top state of relaxed well-being.
